Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Coocooo ("Coocooo," "we," "us," or "our"), the maker of the Coocooo app and the website at c00c.ooo (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Coocooo Is

Coocooo is a slow-communication app. You write a letter and a virtual carrier pigeon carries it to someone you've connected with, arriving after a realistic delay based on the distance it "flies." Coocooo intentionally has no push notifications and no read receipts — the waiting is the point. Delivery times are estimates produced by a simulation and may vary. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use Coocooo. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details secure. Keep your information accurate, and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Your Content

• •You own your letters and photos. You keep all rights to the content you create ("Your Content").
• •License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and display Your Content solely to run the Service — that is, to deliver your letters to the recipient you chose and show them to you. We don't use Your Content for advertising or to train AI.
• •Your responsibility. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to send it. Don't send anything unlawful or anything you don't have permission to share.
• •Keepsake by design. Coocooo is built around lasting correspondence, so individual letters generally cannot be deleted once sent, much like a physical letter. You can, however, delete your account (see §11).

5. Acceptable Use

When using Coocooo, you agree not to:

• •send unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or abusive content, or content that infringes others' rights;
• •impersonate anyone, or contact people who don't want to hear from you;
• •misuse, disrupt, probe, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• •reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law; or
• •use the Service for any commercial or automated purpose.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms.

6. Purchases and Credits

Coocooo may offer credits and optional in-app items (such as journey "charms").

• •Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through your app-store account and are subject to their terms.
• •Credits and in-app items are virtual, have no cash value, are not transferable, and are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or by the app store's policies.
• •We may change the pricing or availability of items over time. A consumable item is used up when it is applied.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service — including the Coocooo name, the pigeon and eye-mark logos, designs, and software — belongs to Coocooo and its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not use our brand or content without our permission.

8. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep Coocooo available, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. The pigeon journey is a simulation; we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that a letter will arrive at an exact time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coocooo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using Coocooo and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including the content license needed to keep delivered letters available to their recipients, and Sections 7, 9, and 10 — survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

Coocooo is offered internationally, and we don't currently designate a single governing jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live, and any dispute will be handled consistently with those rights. We will update this section if we establish a specific governing jurisdiction.
